Your favorite Seattle Grace-Mercy West Hospital staffers are here starring in uniquely fabulous promotional artwork in celebration of their upcoming seventh season on ABC. The new season starts September 23rd (see the teaser), but you can spy Meredith, Derek, Cristina, April, Jackson, and the rest in these images as they put patients “back together again”, yes, sometimes using handy rolls of gauze, in the aftermath of a stunning season six finale.
Will healing really begin? We’ll find out this fall as James Tupper portrays trauma counselor Andrew Perkins, tasked with clearing each doctor before they can return to the O.R. “Meredith does get cleared eventually, but not right away; not without some frustrating episodes,” Ellen Pompeo told TVGuide.com. “She’s got to pull out all the tricks and stops to try to get cleared. The role that they have given Meredith is to take care of everybody and to try to make sure that everybody else is OK,” Pompeo added. “She’s the role of the caretaker, which, I guess, is her way of not dealing with her own thing.” Case in point, April and Jackson will move in with Meredith this season.
