JK Rowling appearing on Oprah

This is the final year of Oprah, so you just know it will be magical. Case in point, beloved author JK Rowling will be appearing on The Oprah Winfrey Show “for the first time this Friday to talk about her life, her fame, and writing one of the most popular book series of all time,” according to Entertainment Weekly.

It wasn’t so long ago that another popular author, Twilight‘s Stephenie Meyer, was talking to Oprah. The first lady of talk even snagged a rare one on one with Cormac McCarthy, author of The Road (Oh, how I love that book!).

The get together between the girls already took place in Edinburgh, Scotland, so it won’t take place live. EW reports Rowling will recount the way her fame has felt “Beatle-esque”.
