Mad Men Jared Harris Sherlock’s Moriarty
Mad Men‘s Jared Harris has been tapped for the role of Moriarty in Sherlock Holmes 2–at least that’s what our friends over at Latino Review are telling us. In the first film, Moriarty, Holmes’ arch-villain, is kept in the murderous shadows with only a glove and a voice to place him.
(Still not sure whose voice it was, and no, that’s not an invite to tell me, I really don’t care.)
Regardless of who it was, Latino Review is pretty certain, based on “solid sources,” that Richard Harris’s son will be playing the evil bastard. That’s after Guy Ritchie was unable to secure Brad Pitt or Daniel Day Lewis.

Personally, we here at BSC are glad Ritchie took the high road and focused on the acting over the star power that he could have assigned to the role. Harris is a good choice, if in fact he turns out to be the one. Sherlock Holmes 2 is slated for release on December 16, 2011. Better get busy, Ritchie!
