Maggie Q and Lily Collins – Priest posters

From the films I’m desperately looking forward to, though probably shouldn’t files comes Priest, a long-awaited adaptation (at least for me) of the Min-Woo Hyung graphic novel series from Tokyopop. I have ten of the fifteen volumes in my collection, with plans to add the last five before the movie hits on May 13, 2011, and I suggest you do the same.

The movie has been tweaked up a bit from the plotline of the series, but not by much. Essentially, it follows a priest who goes against the Vatican in order to wage a battle against the Undead. So far, casting is pretty spot-on with Paul Bettany in the lead role. He did a fine job with Legion, a film I didn’t really care for, but will admit had its moments. The most important thing about this movie will be striking the same horror-western vibe of its print counterpart. Definitely wearing my optimistic face for this one, but with Legion‘s director in charge, Scott Charles Stewart, this one could go either way.
