If you dig the human high school students of the Twilight Saga, then you will definitely dig the good word in today’s casting news. He’s Mike Newton and he has a crush on Bella, but let’s face it, she’s got more than her fair share to juggle between Edward and Jacob. Yes, we’re proud to report that actor Michael Welch will appear in Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, part one. The actor shared his excitement with his followers on Twitter, saying, “It looks like I will be back for Part 1! WooHOOO!! Part 2, I’m not sure yet.”
Don’t panic. Its not likely that the part of Mike Newton would be recast so late the game for Breaking Dawn, part two. Its just that, as readers of the Twilight books know, Bella’s human friends don’t figure prominently as the romantic paranormal adventure winds to a conclusion. If we don’t see Michael Welch acting in part two, that’s probably because we simply won’t be seeing Mike Newton.
