Amy Adams Muppets style?

Amy Adams is a woman with irons in many fires. The 36 year old actress, who starred in Enchanted (above), has not only become a mother for the first time – we’ve learned from Entertainment Weekly that she’s in talks with Jason Segel to star in his new Untitled Muppets Movie as well as a host of other titles, including Kurtzman’s Welcome To People and Crowe’s We Bought A Zoo.

To top it all off, she co-stars with Mark Wahlberg and Christian bale as a ‘tough, gritty barmaid’ in David O. Russell’s forthcoming boxer film, The Fighter, which is due for US release this December. She’s certainly adaptable, not least for her ability to morph from (albeit tongue in cheek) doe-eyed Disney princess to plucky and resolute woman of the times.

The latest Muppets creation, directed by James Bobin and formerly known as The Greatest Muppets Movie Ever Made, features the furry friends as they reunite after a catastrophic falling-out to save the Muppet theatre from destruction at the hands of a sinister oil tycoon. Their goal? To get 10 million viewers, or face the end of the theatre as they know it.

Disney have yet to officially comment, but according to EW, Adams is in the process of teasing out dates as she works on her other projects.

The Untitled Muppets Movie will be released December 25th 2011 – and yes, it will star Kermit the Frog.
