Deadpool Movie – Adam Berg?
Ryan Reynolds is straddling both sides of the comic book fence. He’s the Green Lantern for DC Comics and Deadpool for Marvel, and it’s the latter that is the subject of this post. But sorry, Reynolds fans, the focus is on the man behind the camera and not the one in front of it. And as far as the man behind the camera is concerned, it will not be Robert Rodriguez as originally thought.
The LA Times reports that the new frontrunner is a guy you’ve probably never heard of. Adam Berg, a Swedish commercial and video director, became a blip on Hollywood’s radar with the short film Carousel, which won the Cannes Lions International Advertising Prize for Philips Electronics. Reynolds seems to have taken a shine to the director and now it seems Marvel has as well. Sorry, Deadpoolers, if you were looking for a name director here. Berg may not be too awful, though. The Times posted Carousel in case you’re a little curious about his style. Not bad at all.
