Grey’s Anatomy Season 7 visited by Peter MacNicol

Peter MacNicol will be a guest star on the popular medical drama Grey’s Anatomy for a multi-episodic arc, according to TVGuide.com. He will play Dr. Stark, a pediatrics attending who will work closely with Dr. Alex Karev (Justin Chambers). The actor will also appear on the show during sweeps for at least two episodes.
MacNicol was a regular on the recently cancelled series Numb3rs as well as the acclaimed series 24, starring Kiefer Sutherland. MacNicol had his first break-out role playing Stingo in Sophie’s Choice, which starred Meryl Steep and Kevin Kline. The 56-year-old actor has done a lot of work in television during his nearly three decades as an actor and was a regular on the quirky, award-winning hit show Ally McBeal in which he played eccentric attorney John Cage, who was a huge Barry White fan. Cage would often channel the suave R&B singer to build his confidence.
MacNicol has also voiced characters on a number of TV shows, including The Spectacular Spider-Man, The Batman and Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law in which he also voiced the video game.
In its 7th season, Grey’s Anatomy is still going strong despite recently losing popular cast member Katherine Heigl, who is currently the reigning queen of romantic comedies. The award-winning show still has very strong following, particularly among women, and it looks like it’s going to remain on-air for few years more years to say the least. It has been nominated for 36 Prime-time Emmy awards, 11 Golden Globes awards and one Grammy award.
