Jack Black scoops How to Survive a Robot Uprising

Daniel H. Wilson is getting a little more respect from the Hollywood machine with not one but two adaptations coming from his works. You already know that Steven Spielberg is hard at work on the more serious-minded Robopocalypse, but io9 is now reporting that How to Survive a Robot Uprising is getting some TLC from Jack Black and Hot Tub Time Machine director Steve Pink.

The book takes a lighthearted look at what would happen if the robots rebelled against us and decided to run things for themselves. Not quite to the extent of the Terminator series here, folks. Originally optioned by Mike Myers, the property recently hit the market again, and it didn’t take long for the Black-Pink connection to scoop it up. No word yet on who’s starring or directing. Pink is working on the script.
