Kristen Stewart in Welcome to the Rileys clip
Kristen Stewart is featured here alongside Oscar nominee Melissa Leo (Frozen River) in the upcoming film Welcome to the Rileys. The drama starring James Gandolfini, Leo, and Stewart, is slated for a Nov. 3 release at the present. The plot centers on a troubled man seeking salvation by caring for a troubled young woman while on a business trip in New Orleans.
As a professed Twilight hater, everything about me should be against Stewart, but the young actress has proven herself in films like Adventureland and the over-rated Runaways. The latter movie seemed like it had a much more compelling story to tell, but it failed to do so. If not for the performances of Stewart and Dakota Fanning, there would be nothing to recommend it.
What does that have to do with Welcome to the Rileys? Well, nothing unless you believe that Bella will bring her A-game as she usually does with non-Twilight movies. I, for one, believe that she will and look for Rileys to be great Oscar fodder for the end of the year.
