Nicolas Cage and Amber Heard – Drive Angry Trailer

Nicolas Cage and Amber Heard are pissed off, and they’re ready to Drive Angry, at least that’s what we can tell from the new trailer to the Feb. 11, 2011, release. Before you start rolling your eyes and thinking, “Aw hell, they’ve done a sequel to Gone in 60 Seconds,” you may be glad to know that Cage plays a guy named Milton. He is not named after a city. He doesn’t laugh like he just ripped one while scrunched in the back seat of a Toyota Corolla with five other people, and he’s not in a race against time to stop the end of the world.

Director Patrick Lussier bottles up that Cage aggression and puts it to use in a standard revenge tale with guns, cars, explosions, and 3D. What more could a guy looking to turn off his brain for a couple of hours ask for? With My Bloody Valentine 3D as his most notable prior credit, Lussier has set a precedent for eye-popping carnage. Let’s hope he sticks to the blood and guts formula that makes revenge movies so much fun
