Robert Pattinson and Ian Somerhalder – Glamour Sexiest Vampires

Who knew the end of 2010 would draw an ultimate death match between such pretty paranormal people? Of course no one is feuding in reality (as far as we know), but in August of this year Entertainment Weekly ran quite an inclusive contest feature which pitted all sorts of television and movie monsters against each other for our votes. The prize? The title of sexiest beast, of course. It was no surprise that vampires topped their list of winners, but it was news when Vampire Diaries actor Ian Somerhalder (and his bad boy vamp character, Damon) beat Robert Pattinson’s Edward to champion the contest. Now Glamour weighs in with its own, more exclusive contest. The result? A list of the world’s 31 sexiest vampires. Blood suckers are the aristocracy of the monster realm, are they not? Its not a wonder they refused to compete with the likes of Avatar‘s aliens and Hugh Jackman’s comic book mutant Wolverine. This time, however, Edward gets the better of Damon! That’s right, Glamour’s number one sexiest vampire is Edward Cullen. Damon Salvatore, this time, comes in second place.

Spike followed in eighth place, True Blood’s Bill Compton was on his heels in ninth, and Daybreakers’ Edward Dalton (portrayed by Ethan Hawke) found the eleventh spot.
