Anna Kendrick Shape-Shifting in Pow Pow

If you like Anna Kendrick, and surely you do, then you’ll dig this appearance of her in the latest LCD Soundsystem video “Pow Wow.” This puppy is more than four minutes long and comes equipped with some summer blockbuster-worthy production values. And we have to be honest when we say that the Up in the Air-Twilight starlet kicks some serious ass here. If only we had a dollar for every time she shoots a white light out of her lovely little hand. (That would probably compute to about $3.)

LCD Soundsystem sounds much cooler than the name of the man who stands behind the emerald curtain. That would be James Murphy. Murphy, by nature, is a producer and the co-founder of DFA Records. As LCD Soundsystem, he’s an attention whore. The man has released three studio albums. (This one appears on This Is Happening.) When he’s cutting an LCD album, he does pretty much everything on his own: vocals, drums, bass, percussion, claps, organ, programming, drum machine, and about a million other instruments. Show-off!
