Batman The Dark Knight Rises A-List Ladies

Buzz, buzz, buzz. That’s what you get when you mix Inception director Chris Nolan, the Batman film franchise, and A-List actresses. Let’s face it, Batman fans are proud and opinionated. Everyone wants to guess which characters we’ll see in the third film, The Dark Knight Rises. We all have our favorites. We also can’t wait to learn who will play whom. The last rumors we hear involved a trio of ladies, Charlize Theron, Vera Farmiga, and Kacie Thomas.

Now, in a sizzling hot exclusive, Deadline.com reports Nolan will meet with a small flock of Hollywood A-Listers in his search to fill two female lead roles. Deadline said one is a Bruce Wayne love interest and the other is a villain. Does that mean three actresses could be hired? We did hear rumors that Theron was in the running to play Detective Sarah Essen, a future love interest for Commissioner Gordon in the Batman mythos. We can’t answer that question yet, but we can list the actresses about to meet with Nolan.

They are: Rachel Weisz, Naomi Watts, Blake Lively, Natalie Portman, Anne Hathaway and Keira Knightley

Keep in mind that the good word is that Inception‘s Tom Hardy will also portray a villain.

Who are some notable female villains in the world of the Bat? Here’s a short list:

Talia al Ghul – This exotic brunette is the daughter of Ra’s al Ghul, the shadowy villain portrayed by Liam Neeson in Batman Begins. She’s a skilled assassin and very attractive. She has trouble deciding between her attraction to the bat and loyalty to her father.

Harley Quinn – Dr. Harleen Quinzel began as a young psychologist, but her interactions with The Joker, leave her completely in love with him. She adopts her alter ego and becomes The Joker’s side kick and a dangerous psychotic.

Catwoman
