Colin Farrell offered Total Recall remake

Colin Farrell has officially been offered the lead role in the upcoming remake of Total Recall. Many of you will remember how BSC previously reported that he was the frontrunner for the part originated by Arnold Schwarzenegger. His competition was Michael Fassbender (Inglourious Basterds) and Tom Hardy (Inception). Now Variety reports that we’re one step closer to this becoming a reality.

For those of you who’ve never seen the original, a) what rock have you been living under? and b) it’s about a man who takes a mental vacation to Mars where he becomes a rebel against the oppressive ruling class on the red planet. Except the dream that he thinks he’s living may actually be a far deadlier reality than he ever thought possible. The original featured Sharon Stone and Michael Ironside. No other stars have been announced at this time.
