Michaela McManus “Jules” in Vampire Diaries

Former Law & Order: SVU regular Michaela McManus will have a recurring role on the popular CW series The Vampire Diaries, sources have confirmed to Movieline. McManus will play Jules, a friend of Mason Lockwood’s who comes to Mystic Falls looking for the MIA werebeast.

This role brings the actress back into the CW fold, where she spent two seasons as the character Lindsey on One Tree Hill. Since leaving Law & Order: SVU, she has guest starred in a few TV shows, such as Castle (ABC) and CSI: Miami (CBS) and has appeared in two movies, Nomads (TV movie) and Cafe. And she has a part in the upcoming film Fifty-nothing. Her first Diaries episode is slated to air in December.

McManus was born in Warwick, Rhode Island. She Studied Shakespeare at London’s famed Royal Academy of Dramatic Art from January through May in 2004.

In the next episode of The Vampire Diaries, Elena puts herself in a dangerous position as she searches for the truth about Katherine’s past and what her own future may hold. The episode will air on Thursday November 11.
