Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher – No Strings Attached trailer and pic

On one hand, I find the premise of today’s movie spotlight rather silly. Can you be friends with benefits without falling in love? Its a question nearly as old as time and I don’t necessarily need to see another film on that topic. On the other hand, how cute is Natalie Portman?
The actress has been a favorite of mine since her childhood feature film debut in Leon: The Professional. She’s not just pretty, she’s smart. And while she can win a popcorn flick audience with performances like those in V for Vendetta and Star Wars Episode III, She can also act up a storm in dramas like Cold Mountain, Brothers, and the Aronofsky piece, Black Swan (read our own Elena Nola’s review). Next year she’ll appear in Your Highness and in Thor, but she’ll also appear along side Ashton Kutcher in the romantic comedy No Strings Attached. We snagged the trailer from MovieFone and you can watch it right now.
The film is directed by Ivan Reitman (Kindergarten Cop, My Super Ex-Girlfriend) and it is kind of refreshing to see Portman in a more breezy, less meaty role. What do you think? Will you be watching No Strings, due out January 21, 2011. Saw‘s Carey Elwes and Trade star Kevin Kline also appear in the film.
