Rachael Leigh Cook in TNT’s Perception

You’ve heard of Inception on the big screen, but do you know the skinny on TNT’s Perception? Well, listen up, because I smell a winner.

According to Deadline.com the drama “from ABC Studios, centers on Dr. Geoffrey Pierce (Will and Grace‘s Eric McCormack), an eccentric, frequently erratic and absolutely brilliant university professor in neuropsychiatry who helps the FBI solve complex cases.” Think of him as Dr. Gregory House mixed with actor Simon Baker’s The Mentalist.

Deadline also reported his co-star has been selected. She’s Rachael Leigh Cook and her character is “sexy, sharp-tonged and smart FBI agent Kate Rossi”. I’m liking this project so far! It reminds me, not just of Fox’s Bones, but also of a fantastic British series, Wire in the Blood (catch it on Netflix if you’ve never seen it). Look for the pilot of Perception on TNT.
