Chloe Moretz, Jackie Earle Haley, and Bailee Madison join Kristen Bell in Dance of the Mirlitons

The new Freddy Krueger is about to go toe-to-toe with Hit Girl herself in the film Dance of the Mirlitons. In the Little Miss Sunshine/Billy Elliot-styled comedy-drama, Moretz will play a snotty nemesis of the lead character, played by Bailee Madison, who is slightly overweight and must struggle to overcome her non-perfection. According to THR, Haley will play “a Russian ballet teacher of the highest order.”

The film, which was written by Evan Greenberg, will have a touch of Mean Girls to it. Shooting is expected to begin next year as the producers are still trying to secure the last vestiges of funding the film needs to move forward.
