Don Cheadle to star in Showtime’s House of Lies Pilot

Its always showtime on the Showtime network! Yesterday we delivered a fresh interview from Dexter guest co-star Julia Styles and today we’ve got news of a brand new pilot for the network. Iron Man 2 actor Don Cheadle has signed the dotted line to star in House of Lies.

THR reported “the half-hour dark comedy” was created by Matthew Carnahan (Dirt) and is “based on the book House of Lies: How Management Consultants Steal Your Watch and Tell You the Time.” Production will begin this coming February.

“Don Cheadle is one of the great dramatic actors of our generation,” said Showtime entertainment president David Nevins. “He also happens to be an extremely funny man. House of Lies is the perfect show to take advantage of both sides of him. Honestly, I would have been happy just to get his autograph.” That’s right, he was pretty funny in Out of Sight and Ocean’s 11, remember?
