Gossip Girl Leighton Meester Seventeen Cover Girl

Watch out world, because here she comes! Gossip Girl actress Leighton Meester will appear on the big screen along side Gwenyth Paltrow, Garrett Hedlund, and Tim McGraw everywhere on January 7th in Country Strong. We already showed you her very first music video from the film, and now we’re proud to share her new, very colorful Seventeen Magazine Cover.

According to the folks over at Seventeen, during their time with Meester, she spoke about “her castmates, her unconventional childhood, and why she likes ‘bad boys’.” Though Meester has a beautiful, fresh, wind-blown look in her photographs, she also shared, “I didn’t really like modeling; it was fun but I always wanted acting. Even now, it’s really awkward doing shoots, it’s fun, but it’s not the same.”

Meester also said she never knew what doors Gossip Girl might open for her. “We started doing a show [and] didn’t know what it was going to lead to. We were like, ‘This is a good show. Let’s make it and have fun.’ We [all] got really close during that. It’s gotten to a really great spot where there’s a lot of press around it but we always have such a good time when we do it together. And we’re really happy for one another no matter what we do. But nobody has let it go to their head. Everybody is very centered and grounded. I think that we honestly have each other to thank for that.”
