Iron Man 3 Not Directed by Jon Favreau
Not much is known about the direction that Iron Man 3 will take, but what we do know is that IM1 and IM2 director Jon Favreau won’t be doing the deed. Favreau, who made $10 million for the last outing, could command as much as $15 million for a third go. That’s a little much for the folks at Disney, or so says NY Mag. Of course, another theory, and if you read any comic books whatsoever from Marvel or DC this one sounds more likely, Marvel has such a contrived and confusing storyline that requires pretty much their entire catalog of characters, that creatively, Jon Favreau is just tapped out.
How many times has Marvel and DC crapped out a multi-part crossover series that promised to be the next big thing only to accomplish nothing and return the characters to their own contrived worlds following the “event.” It’s why most superhero books today suck, and why this Avengers thing is starting to feel more and more like a bad idea each day.
