Jane Badler Back as Morena Baccarin’s Mother on V
Jane Badler is back as Diane in V–well, sort of. The actress, who played the role on the original 1983 mini-series isn’t playing the same exact character even though they do share names. According to Badler, who had to audition for the role, this version of Diane is much more mature. Diane will be the mother of Anna (Morena Baccarin), the sadistic leader of the Visitors, and like her daughter, she will not be one to trifle with.
Badler told TV Guide that her most difficult time with the role was trying to play it as she did in 1983, but that as the character started to take shape, she realized she was dealing with two different people, more or less. The new season of V will premiere on ABC Jan. 4 at 9 p.m. EST. What do you guys think of the new V? How does it stack up against the originals?
