NYmag.com reports, “Jennifer Lopez has been named the global ambassador of L’Oréal Paris.” Looks like congratulations are in order. As ambassador, we should be seeing the songstress, dancer, and actress appearing in the make-up company’s 2011 ads.

But we can’t move on without giving a mention to the new season of American Idol. According to CNN, J-Lo is an “encouraging judge”, like Paula Abdul. Does that make Steven Tyler the new Simon? Or perhaps Randy Jackson will be the voice of negativity from here on out? Check out Tyler and Lopez promos. CNN also suggested contestants on the Fox reality show this season would be living in the same house and manning Twitter accounts for increased interaction with their burgeoning fans.
