Lucy Lawless in Spartacus: God of the Arena

The USA Today is reporting that Lucy Lawless will return in Spartacus: God of the Arena as Lucretia. Spartacus: God of the Arena news has been coming fast after a period of a bit of a hiatus and uncertainty on the Starz Spartacus franchise, due to the medical condition of the show’s star including offering a video teaser and a recent gallery of images (which I thought featured her to begin with) showcasing the cast of the show. Gods of Arena, which will come to us as a 6-episode miniseries, will serve as a prequel to Blood and Sand.
We of course saw Lawless play this role in Blood and Sand., but (SPOILERS) this prequel gives fans and creators a chance to expand upon the character in ways not possible going into the future. Gods of Arena will star Dustin Clare as Gannicus. Of the prequel, Lawless warns FOX about the level of sexuality and violence we can expect: “That’s nothing, mate, I’m forbidding my parents to watch.”
