Modern Family – Matt Dillon visit

What a scoop! EW.com is reporting that actor Matt Dillon is all set to guest star on the very funny Modern Family on ABC. The actor is perhaps best known for roles of villainy (Armored, Crash), but he’s done his share of comedy, too (There’s Something About Mary). Dillon will play the ex of Claire Dunphy (Julie Bowen).

They also reported this juicy morsel. Dillon has a new best girl and Claire won’t like that because it is her mother, DeDe, portrayed again by Shelley Long in the “role she originated last season in an episode titled ‘The Incident’.”

Dillon isn’t the first movie star to appear with the cast. Recently we heard Sofia Vergara would like Al Pacino to play her father. Elizabeth Banks and Benjamin Bratt have also guest starred.
