The Gladiators of Spartacus: Gods of the Arena

Starz is readying its Jan. 21 launch of Spartacus: Gods of the Arena, and we must say, it looks pretty impressive. Reminding you that the only way to become champion is to never lose, the minds behind Spartacus: Blood and Sand have developed a prequel with some top-notch acrobatics and bloodshed, and even though Andy Whitfield will not be the center of attention, it’s a welcome thing to re-enter this cold and violent world.

Below we’ve got some teaser fare that should whet your appetites quite nicely. Just remember that this is not Kirk Douglas’s Spartacus, folks, so make sure you’ve got a strong constitution before you journey forward with it. What are you most looking forward to about this new series? And given the setbacks with Whitfield’s health, do you think we can expect more Blood and Sand in the near future? Well for me personally Spartacus won’t be Spartacus without Andy Whitfield. He brought such a spectacular and beautiful presence to that role that I doubt any actor can recapture and left an indelible mark on me. All that being said he must put his health and family first. That is what is most important and I hope and pray we will see him again in future endeavors because his talent is just too great to go unused. He’s an amazing and wonderful actor and I wish him the very best. I am looking forward to GOTA but not as much if I knew Andy would be in it as well. I know he makes a short appearance and I praise Starz for trying to wait for him. They went beyond what many shows would do. But it just won’t be the same without him either. Andy you continue to be in our prayers. I wish the show all the luck in the world and hope if Starz can find a suitable replacement that actor will make Andy proud. He has huge shoes to fill.

I believe Gods of The Arena will be a great show with its 6 episodes. Now, as for Spartacus Vengeance or Blood and Sand 2. I believe without Andy Whitfield the show will not be as appealing as before. I think whoever they pick for the new Spartacus has to be an actor of great appeal.But from what i seen so far there will never be a better actor than Andy Whitfield. This part of Spartacus was made for him. Maybe The Gods knew Andy was the perfect one for this role

i wont watch it if andy whitfield is not there. it wont be the same without him and some other actor in his place..
wont be worth watching another actor being spartacus.

It’s not spartacus without Andy Whitfield.We will still watch so he has something to come back to. Get better soon Andy…we miss you.

Hi. This is suck that in the second season actor different make no sanse they should been finish with last one but starting a new season and diffrent actors thats messt up
