Total Recall Remake Films in Toronto
The Total Recall remake is slated to start filming in March 2011 on a budget of $200 million. Columbia has already secured Colin Farrell for the lead role that once belonged to Arnold Schwarzenegger, and they now have their location. Filming at the brand new waterfront studio in Toronto, also referred to as Hollywood North, it will be the most expensive film to ever be shot in the country, according to The Star.
Len Wiseman will be directing from a story by Philip K. Dick. The original film dealt with the phenomenon of implanted memories and followed the victim as he sought to escape his humdrum life for one of adventure, only to find the adventure all too real fighting alongside a rebel movement on the planet Mars. Toronto hopes that Total Recall will be the first of many big-budget summer blockbusters to be shot at that their multimillion dollar facility. How excited are you to see Total Recall in 2011?
