Zac Efron Lucky One Pics

We always read stories about how actors and film crews become like one, big, happy family during the filming of a movie, but news from Nola.com shows that actions speak much louder than words with the cast and crew of the Zac Efron film, The Lucky One, based on a Nicholas Sparks novel with the same name.
In the film, Efron plays a Marine back in the States from a third tour of duty in Iraq who’s on a mission to find the mystery woman in a photo he’s been carrying around (find out who plays the mystery woman), and everyone knows you can’t play a convincing Marine with a full head of hair so Efron had to change his hairstyle to the traditional Marine buzzcut.
After doing a little thinking (probably done while standing in front of a mirror), Zac decided he didn’t want to be the only one without hair so he made an offer that no generous person could refuse – He would donate cash to Kingsley House, a New Orleans based charity, for every crew member who also shaved his or her head.
The offer got lots of attention and approximately 30 crew members, including two women, had their heads shaved for charity. In addition to the cash donation offered by Zac, the two women donated their hair to Locks of Love, the national organization that makes wigs for financially disadvantaged children who suffer from long-term medical hair loss.
While Zac’s new ‘do was required for the movie, the crew could have remained shaggy, and it’s nice to see people do a little extra to help those in need of assistance. I’m also a big fan of any celebrity who opens his or her own wallet to help out, rather than simply serve as a mouthpiece that asks others to provide assistance. Way to go, Zac. Your hair may be short, but your heart is obviously big.
