Zack Snyder’s Sucker Punch Featurette

Warner Bros. have sent over a neat little featurette for the upcoming Zack Snyder cartoon Sucker Punch starring Abbie Cornish, Emily Browning, Jena Malone, and Vanessa Hudgens. The movie is about a young woman thrown into a mental institute by her wicked step-father. While there, she “escapes” into a dangerous but empowering world that could be her salvation from the insanity of her reality. More CGI than you can shake a stick at accompanies the film as you can see from virtually every shot of it here. If you like stylized FX that bear little semblance to reality, then you’ll probably want to see this.

If you are more of a real world, real FX type of person, then probably not so much. Nevertheless, the hot chick quotient alone may be enough to draw me in the door. Then again, Watchmen couldn’t do the trick, so you never know. Sucker Punch will open in theaters on March 25, 2011. It also stars Scott Glenn and Carla Gugino.
