Anne Hathaway Appearing on GLEE

The Golden Globes provided a few expected moments for Gleeks, and one big surprise that took everyone off guard.

In addition to Glee winning Best Series, Musical or Comedy, the FOX hit also scored Best Supporting Actress, Series, Miniseries or Movie for Jane Lynch and Best Supporting Actor, Series, Miniseries or Movie for Chris Colfer.

However, those wins weren’t the surprise of the night. According to E! Online, that honor belongs to Glee creator Ryan Murphy, who revealed that Anne Hathaway would be guest starring in a future episode.

Murphy’s obviously pretty good at keeping a secret. When the cast was asked about the future guest star, Amber Riley laughed, “He just said it about 10 minutes ago!”

There are no details yet on what type of role Hathaway might be playing, but she has mentioned before that she’d love to play Kurt’s lesbian aunt. While Glee is a definite thing, there’s still no word yet on if Hathaway will be teaming up with Seth Grahame-Smith in Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.

It looks like half of Chris Colfer’s dream has come true. He recently shared that his dream cast for the show includes Anne Hatheway and Julie Andrews, saying, “Can you imagine a family with myself, Mike O’Malley, Julie Andrews and Anne Hathaway? That’s one hell of a family!”

Hollywood is the home of some truly odd pairings so Colfer might have his dream realized one of these days. After all, it wouldn’t be the first time Hathaway and Andrews teamed up.
