Dawn Olivieri Joins Don Cheadle in Showtime’s House of Lies
Dawn Olivieri is entering the House of Lies with Don Cheadle in Showtime’s new dark comedy, according to Deadline. She’ll play Monica, the “crazy, pill-popping ex-wife” of Don Cheadle’s character, Marty (I like him already). As if dealing with an ex isn’t bad enough, she’ll also be Marty’s biggest professional competition, with Marty’s consulting firm falling into the number 2 spot behind her firm.
House of Lies is based on the book by Martin Kihn and focuses on Marty, a “self-loathing highly successful management consultant from a top-tier firm who is never above using any means (or anyone) necessary to get his clients the information they want.” Wow! He has that kind of work ethic and still loses out to the ex-wife? I can’t wait to see how she does business.
Olivieri is no stranger to the small screen and has been seen in Heroes, The Vampire Diaries, True Blood, and even shares a small Avengers connection with Don Cheadle (Iron Man 2) by voicing the character of Pepper Potts in the animated The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.
House of Lies was written by Matthew Carnahan is expected to go into production in February.
