Lyndsy Fonseca’s Future on Nikita

Nikita returns Thursday, January 27th, at 9/8c on The CW. As if that news weren’t great enough on its own, TV Line is reporting what fans can expect in upcoming episodes.

Actress Lyndsy Fonseca is coming into her own as the show’s Alex. The junior spy is already pretty “badass”. One would have to be to endure Division and survive as a double agent for Nikita. Now, just as Alex contents with the fact she killed Thom (Ashton Holmes), who was a fairly decent “friend” to her on the inside, she’ll try out her wings as a full fledged agent. That will likely mean even more pressure as Nikita’s counter-missions progress in scope.

What could be better? Fonseca teased that fans will soon see a flash forward to what the future Alex could look like. If you’ve seen various incarnations of Nikita, then you know just how much her lifestyle got to her and how it changed her as a person. Thanks to a special plot line, we will witness that transformation in the blink of an eye.

“You will get a glimpse of what Alex becomes, in a future version of herself. My character specifically; not everyone. We’ll start to get a glimpse of ‘Future Alex,’ if it were to go that way,” Fonseca says.

How? Well, the details are hush, hush, but TV Line says, “something bad happens to Alex which makes the audience privy to her dream-like state where the subconscious ‘Future Alex’ resides. Pretty cool, right?” I’ll say!
