Red Riding Hood Trailer featuring Amanda Seyfried

This isn’t your parents’ fairy tale. Warner Bros. Red Riding Hood is directed by Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke and it gives a more urban fantasy/paranormal romance spin to this reboot of the classic legend.

Valerie (Amanda Seyfried) is torn between outsider Peter and wealthy Henry, whom her parents want her to marry. Valerie prefers to follow her own heart rather than abide by her parents wishes so she plans to run away with Peter but her plans are changed when she learns her older sister has been killed by a werewolf.

The new extended trailer is a lot more exciting than the previous teaser, with a solid music track playing as we see the mayhem caused by the werewolf. We even get a brief peek at Valerie facing the furry foe.

It looks like Seyfried is doing a great job in the ‘Red Riding Hood’ role while Gary Oldman appears to deliver another solid performance as werewolf hunter Father Solomon.

Red Riding Hood unleashes the wolf in theaters on March 11th.
