Bella Heathcote and Jackie Earle Haley Dark Shadows Favorites?

Tim Burton’s Dark Shadows might be adding a few more pieces to the casting puzzle, according to Deadline. Johnny Depp has already been cast in the role of vampire Barnabas Collins and Jackie Earle Haley (Nightmare on Elm Street) is in talks to become Collins’ servant, Willie Loomis. The role of Victoria Winters might also get filled soon as sources reveal that Bella Heathcote is the choice for the young governess of the Collins estate. Heathcote has been one of the names mentioned in the past for the role of Snow White in Snow White and the Huntsman but the studio is currently in talks with Kristen Stewart for the part.

In the 60’s gothic soap opera, Victoria Winters was the main female character, a “good-natured governess with a mysterious past.” Willie Loomis was a con artist who became the unwitting servant of Barnabas Collins when he pried off the lid of Collin’s casket in search of treasure.

I was never a fan of the original Dark Shadows when I discovered the re-runs on TV (I’m not that old) but I’m very interested in seeing Johnny Depp as a vampire so I’ll be giving this movie a try.
