Chandra West and More added to Burn Notice Prequel

Hey, Burn Notice fans, are you ready to salsa? Well, get ready because your favorite Burn actors are en route to Bogota, Colombia. There’s no place like South America to really turn up the heat on the upcoming made for TV prequel.

Wait a second. Did I say favorite “actors,” as in the plural? I sure did! That King of Geekdom Bruce Campbell may be set to star in the “telepic”, but TV Line reports, it is series front man Jeffrey Donovan, yes, your own Michael Westen actor, who will direct.

The prequel is set in the year 2005 and will see Lt. Commander Sam Axe (Great name, no?), as portrayed by Campbell, deployed to investigate a troublesome band of Colombian rebels disrupting the operations of a “locally stationed military platoon”. During his stay Axe will learn some “dark” secrets and along the way learn “hard lessons about deception and sacrifice.”

TV Line also learned more about the cast. Chandra West (The Gates) has been added to the team to will be Donna, Axe’s exuberant love interest. That is West pictured above with Val Kilmer, her co-star in 2002′s The Salton Sea.

Also added are RonReaco Lee (The Good Guys) and Kiele Sanchez (Lost). Lee is a philanthropic field medic having to fight off the Colombian militants to survive, while Sanchez portrays “a humanitarian with a food relief effort who has a hard time trusting soldiers — Sam included.”

Lastly, John Diehl (Stargate) has come aboard for the role of Rear Admiral Lawrence, a Naval Officer to whom Axe reports.

The two-hour flick is due to premier on the USA network in the Spring.
