Lady Gaga Monster Ball Concert on HBO

Lady Gaga hatched during the Grammy’s and now she’s taking flight and heading to HBO as Deadline brings word that that she has just signed on for her first solo HBO concert. This is really good news for all the ‘little monsters’ out there who were unable to score tickets for her sold-out concert tour.

The special, called Lady Gaga Presents The Monster Ball Tour at Madison Square Garden, will be taped on February 21st and 22nd at Madison Square Garden (of course) during the New York City leg of her tour. Susan Naegle, HBO’s entertainment president, says Lady Gaga is “the single most exciting music talent on the scene today” and that HBO will create “unique new elements” for the show.

It looks like the Lady is in good hands since the special is being directed by Lauriann Gibson, who also happened to choreograph Poker Face, Paparazzi, Telephone, Alejandro, Bad Romance, and many other Gaga videos. The special is being produced by Lady Gaga, Troy Carter, Vincent Herbert and Limmy Iovine.

Lady Gaga Presents The Monster Ball Tour at Madison Square Garden will air on HBO on May 7th.
