Men of Mad Men, Skins, Treme, Vampire Diaries, Friday Night Lights, and Community in GQ

GQ and style go hand and hand. Add television to the mix, and we here at BSC are all ears, and eyes, too! You can follow the GQ link to their choices for the Best New Designers in America and the various styles that are hot, hot, hot right now as evident by certain cast members who embrace it on screen.
For instance GQ classifies the cast of that edgy show, Skins, The Warriors of Radness. The designer Rick Klotz exemplifies the rad aesthetic by starting with a fashion foundation in SoCal surfwear and adding more energy, more color, and extreme fun.
A little more scholarly is the clothing you’ll find dressing the cast of the comedy, Community. Designer Michael Bastian has this image under his thumb, embracing all that’s preppy, but with some sporty spice infused on the side.
Meanwhile fan favorites, the dreamy cast of The Vampire Diaries can be symbolized by the work of designer Alexander Wang. If you’re a “Wangsters” you loathe anything “dedazzled”, but embrace “Wilted, washed T-shirts—ones that look like they were slept in and pulled on the next day. They’re modern and comfortable, and they mold to your body so they feel totally personal.” Hey, that’s a beautiful thing that even a vampire could love.
If its dashing you desire, the cast of Mad Men may be your bag. Kirk Miller is the designer of the “old school” aesthetic. Get more from GQ.
