Robin McLeavy – Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter’s Mary Todd

Australian actress Robin McLeavy has won the coveted role of Mary Todd in the upcoming Hollywood blockbuster Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. Oh, who am I kidding? This movie is going to flop harder than Snakes on a Plane. The vampire trend isn’t without its limits, people.

McLeavy, who needs to find an agent who doesn’t hate her, most recently appeared in an episode of the Australian TV series All Saints. She is almost completely unknown to American audiences, which should make marketing Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter a breeze.

The fictional version of Mary Todd will be a twenty-something love interest to the titular hero, to be played by Benjamin Walker, another relative newcomer largely unfamiliar to moviegoers. The biggest name in the film is Mamma Mia‘s Dominic Cooper, who will be playing Lincoln’s vampire mentor Henry Sturgess. The film, based on the novel of the same name by Seth Grahame-Smith, is expected to be released on June 22, 2012.
