Rosamund Pike is Andromeda in Wrath of the Titans

Rosamund Pike was one of my all-time favorite Bond girls in Die Another Day, and Deadline is reporting that she’ll be showing up with Sam Worthington in the Clash of the Titans sequel, Wrath of the Titans. Pike will be taking over the role of Andromeda since the original actress, Alexa Davalos, was unavailable for the sequel.

This time around, the daughter of King Cepheus and Queen Cassiopeia will supposedly have a much bigger role in the Olympian-sized adventure that also brings in Edgar Ramirez as the war-god Ares, Toby Kebbell as King Agenor and Bill Nighy as the technologically proficient god, Hephaestus.

There were rumors floating around about Pike joining Henry Cavill in the Superman reboot as Kryptonian villain Ursa, but I guess those whisperings can be put to rest with this deal finalized.

Sometimes life happens, but I still hate it when a character gets changed between movies. Do you think Pike will do alright as Andromeda, especially considering the larger role, or are you sad to see Alexa Davalos go?
