Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman in New Thor trailer!

There’s a new Thor trailer out and while it still has a decent amount of CGI going on, there are hints of an actual plot here. We also get a peek at the humor the movie has to offer as the Thunder God learns that he might be able to go toe-to-toe with The Destroyer but he’s still no match for a mortal girl wielding a Taser.

It looks like a lot of the humor comes from the typical ‘off-worlder stuck on Earth’ formula but the delivery is fresh and still brings out a chuckle or two. Who knew Thor liked Pop Tarts so much?

Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster, along with sidekick Darcy (Kat Dennings), has more screen time in this new clip and you can see her slowly start to change her view of the strange blonde guy from ‘weirdo’ to something possibly a little more romantic in nature, and it looks like Darcy is going to be in the enviable position of having all the best lines when it comes to delivering a laugh.

It’s not all warm fuzzy moments though, as we see some serious action both on Earth and the realm of Asgard… and Loki doesn’t look nearly as stupid as I thought he would while wearing his pointy little helmet.

Thor will be showing up in theaters on May 6th, where he’ll have his first encounter with Nick Fury and get recruited for one of the most powerful superhero teams of all time, The Avengers.
