Cary Elwes in Wonder Woman with Adrianne Palicki

Here at BSC we fell in love with this actor more and more each time he said to Princess Buttercup, “As you wish.” We’re talking about Cary Elwes and the fantastic news that he’s returning to television.
Yes, it is a return. X-philes will remember his recurring character, the agitating FBI Assistant Director, Brad Follmer. He also appeared in an episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and most recently in two episodes of Psych.
Deadline.com reports Elwes will now join Adrianne Palicki on the small screen. She’s the new Wonder Woman for NBC. Of course this is a reboot and has to feel modern. What’s Wonder Woman’s new back story? She’ll be “a successful corporate executive working to balance all the elements of her complicated life.”
And Elwes? “[He] will play Henry Detmer, the acting CEO of Themyscira Industries, who is deeply devoted to Diana. He runs the day-to-day operations of the company and acts like an uncle to Diana, though he could be a possible love interest down the line.”
What do you think about the fresh format the show is taking? Would you rather see Diana as a secretary? We heard Linda Carter’s thoughts. Guess who else is in on the fun; Liz Hurley.
On Mr. Elwes’s resume are films like Robin Hood: Men in Tights, Twister, Saw, Ella Enchanted, The Alphabet Killer, and Saw 3D, with The Adventures of Tintin: Secret of the Unicorn due out this December.
