Bill Irwin Returns to CSI

Insanely creepy serial killer Nate Haskell, as portrayed by Bill Irwin, has been getting under the skin of CSI agents in Las Vegas, as fans of the CBS show are well aware.

On Feb. 17th’s exciting episode, called “Targets of Obsession,” super star Justin Bieber returned to the screen as Jason McCann, a tragic character who went out with a bang. But, while Nick and Catherine grappled with McCann, Langston endured the trial of Nate Haskell, who defended himself, slowly turning the court into a bit of a circus. It was fun to watch however, when Langston emerged triumphant as the serial killer’s ultimate arch nemesis. It was like something from a comic book. The two are different sides of the same coin. Still, the episode ended with Haskell escaping from his cell, guilty verdict rendered useless.

Are you ready for round three? TV Line is reporting “Haskell is popping back into CSI during May Sweeps for — presumably — one final showdown.” And what a showdown it may be. The arc will span at least two episodes.

The good word is, too, we should look for Haskell to “resurface in a very surprising way.” Intrigued? I know I am.

“Breaking out of jail was only the beginning,” teases exec producer Carol Mendelsohn. “As Haskell warned, he’s always five steps ahead of our CSIs, until he’s not…”

Now that we’re up to speed on Haskell’s return, it is time to ask how long Catherine Willows will remain on the team.
