Emily Meade – From Boardwalk Empire to Fringe

Emily Meade is stepping into a whole new universe… and that could be literally. TVLine brings word that Meade will be joining the Fringe team at what could be considered a bad time – the May 6 season finale, which happens to be called The Day We Died. I guess that means it should be an interesting first day on the job.

Meade has made appearances on Boardwalk Empire, Law & Order, and Law & Order: SVU. Now, she’ll be showing up in a possibly recurring role on Fringe as “a wide-eyed and eager rookie who’s ready to face all of the challenges in front of her.”

Here’s an interesting question to ponder. Since we’re dealing with a show that features two separate worlds, which world will this eager newbie belong to? Will she, like most of the other main characters, exist as two different people in both worlds or could we possibly have another character that only exists in one?

Fringe tends to surprise us with the unexpected, but Meade can probably look forward to an exciting intro into the twisted drama because showrunner Jeff Pinkner has previously stated that the season finale will “unfurl in a very unexpected way for the characters and the audience.”
