Johnny Depp on Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides Poster

Avast ye scurvy, dogs! Take a look at this dazzling and very painterly Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides movie poster! It comes to us via the kind folks over at IGN. Notice the feathery brush strokes in Captain Jack’s wind blown mane. Note the far off look in his eyes. Notice the mermaids on the beach. Notice the pirate ship ablaze. Uh oh!

As the poster forewarns, this Pirates sequel hits our shores May 20th and in all sorts of formats, too. Let’s see, there’s Disney Digital 3D, REAL D 3D, and, of course, IMAX 3D. For those of us somewhat adverse to wearing glasses, here’s to hoping the swashbuckling adventure will be available, too, in regular ol’ 2D.
