Miley Cyrus So Undercover for Weinsteins
Miley Cyrus’ new film So Undercover now has a distributor. The Weinstein Company acquired the American distribution rights to the action comedy film and plans to release it in October 2011, according to Deadline. When asked for a comment, Cyrus said, “That’s…pretty cool.”
No, she totally didn’t say that. I made that up. But she probably would have, am I right?
Cyrus (The Last Song) plays Molly Morris, a tough detective (no, seriously) who is hired by the FBI (uh…what?) and forced to go undercover as a classy college student and sorority girl (…I can’t even) so she can protect the daughter of an ex-mobster. It sounds kind of like Miss Congeniality, except not at all good. Cyrus co-stars with Jeremy Piven (Entourage), Mike O’Malley (Glee), and Kelly Osbourne (Dancing with the Stars).
So Undercover was directed by Tom Vaughan (What Happens in Vegas) and written by Allan Loeb (New Amsterdam). The original title for the film was I’m Like Sooo Undercover, which really tells you all you need to know about it.
Miley Cyrus will be hosting Saturday Night Live this Saturday, March 5, with musical guest The Strokes.
