5th Annual Book Tournament Round 5 Results; Finals Set
This is just a quick word to announce the final match-up for our 5th Annual Book Tournament.
In round 5 we had Middle Earth champion, 8. Jade Man’s Skin by Daniel Fox, against the Forgotten Realms champion, 14. The Strange Affair of Spring Heeled Jack by Mark Hodder, and Malazan Empire champion, 8. The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms by N.K. Jemisin, against Westeros champion 1. An Artificial Night by Seanan McGuire.
The winners?
14. The Strange Affair of Spring Heeled Jack by Mark Hodder with 58% of the votes in the most-voted-on round of the tournament (so far); and
1. An Artificial Night by Seanan McGuire with a whopping 84% of the votes.
Congratulations to our two finalists, who will go head-to-head to be declared the best book of 2010 starting Saturday morning, April 16!
And condolences to the two defeated bracket champions, who fought long and bravely to reach this point. But your journey is not over yet, travellers, because you have one last chance at redemption in the Consolation round, opening this morning (Friday, April 15)!
