Chloe Moretz in Tim Burton’s Dark Shadows

It looks like Tim Burton is working his magic again as Deadline brings word that the feisty Hit Girl from Kick-Ass, Chloe Moretz, will be joining the Warner Bros drama, Dark Shadows as Carolyn, the daughter of Elizabeth Collins Stoddard (Michelle Pfeiffer).
I still think casting Johnny Depp in the role of vampire Barnabas Collins was pure casting genius, but it’s easy to see that Dark Shadows won’t just have to ride on his shoulders. In addition to Moretz and Pfeiffer, Burton’s long-time lady friend, Helena Bonham Carter, is on-board as Dr. Julia Hoffman, a psychiatrist and blood specialist who starts out at odds with Barnabas Collins but soon becomes his ally when he learns that Hoffman might be able to cure him.
Other members of the cast include Eva Green as witch Angelique Bouchard, Jackie Earle Hayley as Barnabas’ servant, Willie Loomis, and Bella Heathcoate as the governess of the Collinwood estate, Victoria Winters.
Moretz can currently be seen with Blake Lively and Alec Baldwin in Derek Martini’s Hick. Rumors have been floating around about her reprising her role as Hit Girl in a Kick-Ass sequel, but writer Jane Goldman has said Kick-Ass 2 is “not in the works right now.”
