Kristen Wiig, Anna Faris and Gillian Jacobs Up for Dictator with Sacha Baron Cohen?

Is it time for the next Borat? THR reports casting is under way for a new picture starring Sacha Baron Cohen. They also say the set up makes the movie, titled Dictator, very similar to Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan.

Larry Charles, director of Borat, is slated to re-team with Cohen. This time around the story centers on a “heroic story of a dictator who risked his life to ensure that democracy would never come to the country he so lovingly oppressed.” Har de har har… Cohen may portray the “dual roles of a goat herder and a deposed foreign ruler who gets lost in the U.S.”

As far as casting, THR says “Cohen and his team are looking for people with very strong improvisational skills.” They are considering lovely ladies Kristen Wiig, Anna Faris, and Gillian Jacobs (Community) for the role of the female lead. Actor Jason Mantzoukas is in negotiations now for snagging the role of Cohen’s side-kick. Filming of Dictator could begin as early as this May, which is just days away.

You may know Anna Faris from her work in The House Bunny, Scary Movie, and My Super Ex-Girlfriend. And I can’t wait for the May 13th release of Kristen Wiig’s new film, Bridesmaids.
