Lindsay Lohan Next in Gotti: Three Generations? Pesci In.

Is Lindsay Lohan joining the mob? The latest from Deadline indicates that there’s a very good chance of it.

Lohan, who might also be appearing in Zack Snyder’s Superman movie, is in talks for a role in Nick Cassavetes’ biopic Gotti: Three Generations, which is scheduled to begin shooting in October for a late 2012 release, and one actor already attached to the project seems to be in her corner.

John Travolta, who will play John Gotti, Sr. says about Lohan,

“I’ve always thought she was gorgeous and talented and filled with a lot of depth.”

His daughter, Ella Bleu Travolta, will also have a featured role in the film.

Of course, it just wouldn’t seem like a mob movie without Joe Pesci, so he’s been signed on as Angelo Ruggiero, John Gotti Sr’s deputy.

Gotti: Three Generations will be a little different from other movies that have told the family’s story, according to producer Marc Fiore, who says this film, made with the cooperation of John Gotti Jr, will portray the infamous crime boss as “an iconic figure in American history.”

Gotti Jr. says the movie will show his dad as “a man’s man” who “paid for every sin he may or may not have committed.” The role of Gotti Jr. hasn’t been cast yet but a decision is expected within the next week or two.

Do you think Travolta is right about this being “probably the most interesting untold story in this country,” or will we simply be seeing a reboot of The Godfather trilogy?
